Club Penguin Zero

About Club Penguin Zero

A free Flash server with an AS2 look, made by the team behind Club Penguin Imagined, that tries to be a proper successor to Club Penguin with new stuff like a day/night cycle, Snow Trekker and a party almost every couple of weeks.

CP Zero is the follow-up to Club Penguin Imagined, which ran from 2021 until it went offline on April 12, 2025. The team said CPI progress wouldn't carry over so everyone could start fresh together, and CPZ launched on October 24, 2025, lining up with Club Penguin's 20th anniversary.

It mixes bits from every era of Club Penguin and changes a lot along the way. The island has a day/night cycle that shifts every hour, there are ambient sounds and footsteps that change with the ground, Cart Surfer has an endless mode, Snow Trekker from the Elite Penguin Force DS game is playable, and chat messages are longer with emotes you can earn.

It's free with no ads. It still runs on Flash on purpose: the lead developer JeffTheRock wrote a post in September 2026 explaining that HTML5 and Yukon aren't ready for what they want, and that things like the day/night recoloring work much better in Flash. You play through the downloadable client for Windows, Mac or Linux.

The party schedule is busy. Since launch there's been something new about every two weeks, from Halloween and the Holiday Party to custom ones like Save the Migrator Project, Royalty Week, a Stadium Grand Opening and Game Night, and the blog adds codes and community events like Trivia Night.

Who runs it

Admins JeffTheRock, Sora and Amity. Developers Levi and ooowoo. Designers include Excetraz, geszti12, JordyP1, madi, Mars, Veem, TheRealSprig and pinkie. Moderators Moka, Sticky, Toblerone and SPYPVP.

Parties and updates

A new party roughly every two weeks since launch, mixing classic ones (Halloween, Holiday, Winter, Sports, St. Patrick's) with originals like Save the Migrator Project, Royalty Week, Western Party, Camp Penguin and Game Night (Sep 19 to Oct 3, 2026). The blog also runs community events like Trivia Night on Oct 9, 2026 and codes like HALLOWSEVE for October.
