About iOldCP

iOldCP (i.oldcp.biz) is a spin-off of OldCP where every item and all the coins are free. It's a small, laid-back sandbox version of the old 2005 to 2007 island, with its own accounts and its own Empire roleplay.

iOldCP runs on the same old-era game as OldCP, but with a twist: you don't need membership and you can have all the items and coins you want. Your oldcp.biz account doesn't carry over, so you make a separate one, and sign-up needs no email. The homepage says the player base is much smaller, so it's easier to get a good name.

You get puffles with the /puffle (color) command and furnish your igloo with /edit. You can play in the browser (the play page loads the game through Ruffle) or with desktop apps for Windows and Mac. The rules are strict about swearing: do it and you get banned, maybe for good.

It has its own Empire page with an emperor, knights and royal houses, plus a history of past emperors. That history says one emperor stepped down after a shutdown and came back once 'the third version had begun', and the homepage now calls it iOldCP Recreation Project v3. Management is Lexrocks, who you contact through their Discord. The live stats page shows only a handful of players with a few minutes online this month.

Who runs it

Run by Lexrocks (Emperor Lexrocks I in its Empire roleplay), with Pablo as Emperor Helper. The CPPS wiki server list says no staff.

No events or news are posted. The play page's news section says 'No Recent News!'.

What's in iOldCP

• Everything free

  All items and as many coins as you want, no membership needed.

  You make a new account just for iOldCP with a name and password. OldCP accounts don't work here.

• Puffle and igloo commands

  Type /puffle (color) to get a puffle and /edit in your igloo to add furniture.

• Empire roleplay

  An in-game Empire with an emperor, an Emperor Helper, knights, royal houses like House Knights and House Hydra, and a list of past emperors and empresses.

• Stats and squads

  Leaderboards for player of the month (blue username), richest penguins, most popular rooms and snowball match squad kills and deaths.

  iOldCP installers for Windows and Mac, besides playing in the browser with Ruffle.

History

1. iOldCP shuts down at some point, then comes back as a third version (v3). The Empire page says Emperor Orlock I stepped down after the shutdown and returned once the third version began. No dates are given. source

Is iOldCP safe?

iOldCP has a chat filter and some moderation, but it can be hit or miss. It's fine for most players, just use the report button if something's off. From the outside its security looks good, with proper HTTPS, up to date software and a protected sign-up. It doesn't get updated very often, so bugs and problems can stick around for a while. Like with any CPPS, use a password you don't use anywhere else.

How to play iOldCP

iOldCP needs its own app, since browsers stopped running Flash in 2021. Download it from oldcp.biz and nowhere else, then log in or make an account through the app.
