About Fluffy Penguin

A Spanish AS3 Club Penguin server (with an English site too) that first ran in 2020, came back in April 2024, and still runs the classic yearly parties with mascot visits. Worth a look if you speak Spanish and want an old-school AS3 island with Card-Jitsu Snow in its launcher.

FluffyPenguin (also written Fluffy Penguin, or FFP in its terms) is an AS3-era server run mostly in Spanish. The site and game can be switched to English, but the news blog is written in Spanish. It started in 2020, when it lived at fluffyp.ninja, and its blog opened on August 5, 2020 with a post from Lyriwis, a moderator and writer.

The island went quiet after 2020-2021 and came back in April 2024. The relaunch post from xDiego said old accounts from 2020-2021 still worked with the same name and password, and the island reopened on April 26, 2024 with a Welcome Party and a visit from Dot. In November 2024 it ran a story event where Herbert took over and the island became "FluffyHerbert" for a while.

You can play in the browser through Ruffle, but the game itself warns that Ruffle can be buggy and that some things, like Card-Jitsu Snow, only work in the downloadable FluffyPenguin launcher. Moderators approve every username before it shows up, and your account panel lets you turn on two-factor authentication and see your total playtime.

The team has been honest about being stretched thin. In its end-of-2025 post it said 2025 had ups and downs, celebrated its first full year back online and a site redesign, but cancelled the 2025 Christmas Party because of a lack of staff, resources and time.

Who runs it

Blog posts are written by Alvinexto and xDiego (2024-2025), and in 2020 by Lyriwis, Jesusiwis17, Stormy, Zwanzig and xDiego.

Parties and updates

Since the 2024 return there's been roughly one party every month or two in 2024 (Nature Expedition, Kermés, Card-Jitsu, Halloween, FluffyHerbert, Christmas), but fewer in 2025: Prehistoric Party in January, then Music Festival, Anniversary, Puffle Party, Summer and Halloween 2025, with Christmas 2025 cancelled. The newest blog post is from December 31, 2025.

What's in Fluffy Penguin

• Launcher or Ruffle

  There's a downloadable FluffyPenguin desktop launcher, and you can also run it in the browser with Ruffle. The game itself says Ruffle may lag or freeze and some features won't work there.

• Card-Jitsu Snow

  Card-Jitsu Snow is in the game, but only in the launcher version, not under Ruffle.

• Parties and mascot meet-ups

  Seasonal parties bring back characters like Rookie, Gary, Sensei, Dot, Herbert and Rockhopper. You grab a Meet-Ups role in their Discord to get pinged when one shows up.

• Membership

  Members get more minigame levels, extra power cards, puffles that dig up treasure, every puffle color and up to 75 pets, plus members-only party stuff like dino puffles and ghost puffles.

• Coins For Change and advent calendars

  Christmas events run Coins For Change donation goals with rewards and a daily-gift advent calendar.

• Safety settings

  Moderators approve all usernames, you can report players with the M on their profile or ignore them, and you can add two-factor authentication to your account.

Is Fluffy Penguin safe?

Fluffy Penguin has a chat filter and some moderation, but it can be hit or miss. It's fine for most players, just use the report button if something's off. Its security looks okay from the outside, but it's missing a few extras the best servers have. Like with any CPPS, use a password you don't use anywhere else.

How to play Fluffy Penguin

Fluffy Penguin plays in your browser through Ruffle, a Flash emulator, so you don't need Flash installed. If you'd rather not play in the browser they have a desktop app too. Make an account on fluffypenguin.xyz first. Heads up, the game and community are mostly in Spanish.

Cost

Free to play. There's an optional monthly membership for extra levels, items, pets and party perks. The membership page doesn't show a real-money price, and in a 2026 blog comment a player said you get it with in-game currency.
