About CPPS.io

A small custom Club Penguin private server built on the older style of the game, with lots of commands and an in-game manager for glows, colors and item hues. It's still up but quiet, and you need its desktop client or a Flash browser to play.

CPPS.io calls itself a fun, unique server based on the older style of Club Penguin with custom features. The site's copyright starts in 2016, and it was added to AlternativeTo in February 2017, so it's been around a while.

At some point the site was shut down by a DMCA notice from Disney, according to its AlternativeTo listing, but it came back and is running again with its own account manager, sign-up page and play page.

The play page has a big built-in control panel. You can set your name glow, name color and chat bubble colors, change the hue of your interface and each clothing item, pick a YouTube song for your player card, and add items or furniture with a search box. There are also plenty of chat commands like !ai, !ac, !size and !walls.

Is CPPS.io safe?

Moderation and chat filtering on CPPS.io are weak from what we've seen, so younger players should be careful and nobody should share personal info in chat. Security is rated low, which means it's missing some of the basics we check for, like proper HTTPS, up to date software or a protected sign-up. It doesn't get updated very often, so bugs and problems can stick around for a while. Like with any CPPS, use a password you don't use anywhere else.

Past incidents

  1. The site was shut down by a DMCA notice from Disney, according to its AlternativeTo listing. No date was given. It's back online now. Read more
