About Cybium

A small, fully custom HTML5 server on the Yukon engine that keeps the classic Club Penguin look but adds its own stuff: day/night and weather, fishing, igloo farming and a second currency called Frostbits. Good if you want something that feels like old CP but isn't just a straight copy.

Cybium runs in the browser with no download. It's built on the Yukon engine and Phaser, and phones get sent to a separate touch version at m.cybium.cc with an on-screen joystick. It's English only and the CPPS wiki lists it as AS2 era with active staff.

The thing that stands out is how much is custom. The island goes through a full day and night every 30 minutes, storms roll in and darken the rooms, it snows, and on clear nights you can get an aurora. You can buy a rod and fish at five spots, plant and harvest crops in your backyard, race a bot down Ski Hill or play Mancala against another bot in the Book Room.

It's run by one person, error, who played CPPS around 2010 and 2011, left in 2016 and came back later to make this. The site says it's a hobby project with no ads, no donations and nothing for sale, and you have to be 13 or older to make an account. Swearing is allowed, slurs and hate speech get moderated, and there's an optional chat filter if you'd rather not see any of it.

Most of what's written about Cybium comes from its own site and a CPPS wiki page that was written by an account called Cybium, so take the details as the server describing itself. We couldn't find any Reddit threads or YouTube videos about it yet.

Who runs it

Made and run by error, with moderators who handle reports through the Discord.

Parties and updates

The site says new features come out weekly, and there's a new collectible pin every Monday plus holiday pins in season. We didn't find a public news page or party schedule.

What's in Cybium

• Day/night and weather

  A full in-game day lasts 30 minutes and the Snow Forts clock shows the time. Storms bring rain, puddles and lightning, snow clouds drift in, and clear nights between 8:30 PM and 5:00 AM can show an aurora. The login page even shows the current in-game weather and forecast.

• Fishing

  Buy a rod and fish at five spots, log the species you catch, and hunt for room-only fish like Puffers and Sharks or rare shiny ones that change color.

• Backyard farming

  Plant, water and harvest crops in real time in your igloo backyard, upgrade the soil, add plots and climb the Farm leaderboard.

• Frostbits

  A second currency you earn from minigame wins, daily logins and just staying online (100 every 30 minutes). It's spent in the Frostbits Shop on exclusive items, glowing penguins, color-changing names and emote packs like Hello Kitty and Kuromi. Coins still work for the old catalog.

• Bots and minigames

  Race SledMan on Ski Hill, play Mancala against Koko in the Book Room, play Hide & Seek with up to four players from the Snow Forts, and request songs from DJ Desync in the Night Club. Cart Surfer and Jet Pack Adventure are rebuilt too, and the bot games have leaderboards.

• Weekly pins

  A new pin shows up somewhere on the island every Monday, with seasonal ones like a Pumpkin around Halloween.

• Customization

  Over 25 settings: recolor your ring, snowballs and speech bubbles, resize your penguin, unlock transforms and glows, and pick animated playercard backgrounds.

• Social stuff

  You can marry or BFF a friend for a matching player card, like other people's cards and earn badges.

Is Cybium safe?

Moderation and chat filtering on Cybium are weak from what we've seen, so younger players should be careful and nobody should share personal info in chat. Its security looks okay from the outside, but it's missing a few extras the best servers have. Like with any CPPS, use a password you don't use anywhere else.
